When you go through a period in your life that changes you right to the very foundation of who you are, occasionally it results in igniting new passions, or ones you might of been too afraid to pursue.

2018 was a transformative year. I’ll leave you with that ambiguous statement, because this little blurb is about my furniture business, not the interesting, and compelling story of how I got to this point.  Man, if you knew a fraction of the juicy details of what happen to me that year, you’d implore me for a complete novelization, audio book, and movie adaptation of my 2018. But no, this little write up is about furniture.

Damn, 2018 was one for the books...

james.kreate was something I've wanted to do for most of my adult life.

I had the ideas, but not the discipline

The creativity, not the patience

I guess I’m a late bloomer when it comes to learning that when you rush your work, most likely the quality of your finished product will be worse than the condition it was when you picked it out of the garbage.

Purely anecdotal. It’s not like this scenario actually happened to me, and I kept it purely out of denial that it looked like crap. Wouldn’t it be pathetic if this example actually applied to me, especially if that piece of furniture wouldn’t even sell at a garage sale for $5.00. I’d be crazy to start a business selling upcycled furniture.

Ok, I’m never going to be at great my own PR, but to assure you that my finished products are worth purchasing, I’ll tell you this...

I’m having a hard time thinking about parting with some of pieces of furniture I already completed.

...and I have way more likes on pictures I share of my kreations than past project I posted, and I’m certain those were pity likes.

I’m losing focus, and I can’t find a point. Just know I started a business selling refurbished furniture, original work from reclaimed material, and they will be great. (got my first review on google... 5 stars! not to brag or anything.)

Now it’s time for me to relax. My Star Wars Underoos came in the mail, and I’ve been impatiently waiting a week to wear them. 2 day delivery guarantee my @!
